Since Louisville was transformed by its merger of city and county governments in 2003, we've been working hard - as a government and as a city - to continue to improve the level of services we provide and the quality of life we offer to people who call Louisville home.

And last year, Louisville was ranked 20th in the nation as a desirable point for business expansion or relocation by Expansion Management magazine, and 28th on Inc. magazine's 25 Top Places to Do Business in the U.S. We have a growing biomedical and research center, located in a 20-square block area, with some of the finest hospitals in the country. Our public school system has been named one of the best in America. And we have several top-quality universities and colleges.
